Here at Punchline we have decided it’s about time we recognised and awarded the quality of customer service and workmanship that is offered by our local businesses in Gloucestershire - with Martin Green Traditional Decorators Ltd receiving our first ever award.

Renowned for friendly, reliable and high-quality service, we would like to praise the fellows that work at Martin Green due to a specific event that demonstrated just how far beyond the call of duty they were willing to go for their customer.

Having been contracted in to decorate a client’s house whilst away on holiday, Martin Green and Ian McGrath arrived one morning to find there had been an attempted break-in. The would-be thieves had targeted a large pane of glass in the children’s playroom, smashing both the first layer of glass and the secondary pane but apparently had second thoughts- possibly due to the amount of noise they had made.

Martin and Ian proceeded to call both the police and the client informing them of the situation and remained at the property until police arrived to record the incident. Instead of merely boxing up the window with cardboard they bought and fitted a replacement pane of glass as well as cleaning up the significant mess of broken glass inside and outside the house.

This clean-up effort saved the holiday and the care and attention of returning the children’s playroom back to its original state meant the child was sheltered from a feeling of invasion of the home.

By securing the home once again so swiftly and efficiently the client had greater piece of mind whilst away but also the exceptionally low cost - just £40 - for doing all this coupled with the attention to detail and excellent communication stood out for us here at Punchline.

Martin Green Traditional Decorators Ltd- we take our hats off to you.
